Nishimera Onsen is popular for its beautifying waters. It’s highly praised—it’s said that these hot springs with moisturizing effects will smooth and soften your skin. This facility has a rocky open air bath and a large public bath with a Japanese cypress tub, so you can unwind and relax (“yutato”) with views of the magnificent mountains and the clear stream of the Hitotsuse River. The family baths, which guests can reserve, also have an open-air rock bath, which children can use with peace of mind. The refreshing scent of Japanese cypress spreads through the sauna, which was renovated and reopened in 2023, offering double the relaxation.

Guests can savor regional dishes made with local seasonal vegetables, wild ayu fish, wild boar, deer, and more in the dining room. Their sashimi and pressed sushi (oshizushi), made using the local delicacy Nishimera salmon, is a rare treat that you can only eat here.
On the wide and spacious forest valley deck, you can breathe in the fresh air while listening to the wind and the birdsong, something that will surely soothe you in mind and body. Nishimera’s specialty yuzu products and processed wild mountain vegetables are popular souvenirs Yes in the specialty product sales corner.
