宮崎県立美術館
Miyazaki Prefectural Art Museum
Enjoy extraordinary works by masters from Japan and overseas and by creators born in the local area, free of charge
This museum is a major collector of works by creators born locally or with connections to the prefecture—in particular Miyazaki-born artist Ei-Q—and creators that offer a suitable overview of the progression of Japanese art, and exceptional pieces from overseas.
Notably, the museum’s collection of surrealist works by artists such as René Magritte and Giorgio de Chirico and Italian contemporary sculptures by Arnaldo Pomodoro, Giacomo Manzù, and other creators, is substantial even by national standards.
All of these works are Yes to view free of charge during exhibitions of the collection, which are held four times a year.
