Amu Plaza Miyazaki is a building with a white-based design. It consists of three structures—the “Umikan” is the building near the station toward the sea, the “Yamakan” is close to Hiroshima-dori street toward the mountains, and the “Himuka Kirameki Ichiba” is the shopping street beneath the raised structure of Miyazaki Station. The Umikan and Himuka Kirameki Ichiba hold eateries that offer dishes unique to Miyazaki and are popular among the local people—a good choice if you’re wondering what to eat. There’s also an array of shops selling souvenirs that really evoke Miyazaki. Amu Hiroba, an event square with great vision, hosts a variety of events on weekends and consecutive holidays, especially those relating to Miyazaki’s food.
