Miyazaki Sports Camp・ Training Camp Guide [Other Sports]

27 holes across 3 courses--Takachiho, Sumiyoshi, and Nichinan, separated by pine forests overlooking the Sea of Hyuga. Designer Gokichi Ohashi based his design on the concept of "a layout and condition with international standards".

Designed and supervised by Tom Watson, this course comprises 18 holes separated by pine forest. The fairway is flat but has distance, and getting out of the pine forest is difficult, giving the course of a high difficulty rating of 73.5.

Located within natural pine forest, its layout incorporates clever natural undulation. A feeling of the southern countries abounds in this seaside course that lets you enjoy your play while listening to the roar of the Pacific Ocean.
With little up and down, each hole has its own flavor, making you want to try again and again. Although it looks easy, when you actually play you will be struck by its difficulty. The more skilled you become you will understand its difficulty even more. There are also no ponds or creeks so even beginners can enjoy it.

The concept presented by course designer Hisamitsu Onishi is "a course men and women young and old can enjoy". That is why there are 5 tees set on each course. Also, to make it a fair course not affected by good and bad luck, the number of bunkers is much lower compared to other golf courses.

Located within the large-scale resort facility "Sea Gaia" in Miyazaki City, it features a center court which is capable of hosting international tournaments as well as 16 outdoor courts equipped with lighting and 4 indoor courts.

Featuring 10 tennis courts which can accommodate nighters, it is also used for training camps, tournaments, etc.

Designated as a national training center strengthening base per game for triathlons, it serves as the training camp for Japan's triathlon athletes.

This is the facility where the women's weight lifting athletes representing Japan conducted their training camp.

This facility serves as the center of skill improvement and promotion in rifle marksmanship in the prefecture.
The only officially approved shooting range in the prefecture (National Rifle Association of Japan), it is even used for competitive tournaments at the national level.

With lush green natural turf available for use year round, soccer tournaments and J League camps are conducted here. 　
Equipped with site lighting, it can also be used for nighters.

This spot boasts the largest capacity in the prefecture. Located near the airport, expressway IC, and town areas, it hosts many international and national-scale tournaments. Also equipped with toilets, showers, etc., the perfect waves for surfing can be found here all year round

A surfing spot extending 4 kilometers to the north and south which was designated as one of "Japan's top 100 beaches". Featuring complete facilities and great waves for surfing year round, this is the main spot in the north of the prefecture where many surfing events are held including the WQS (World Qualifying Series). In any case it is big so you can freely select your own spot. Beginners should practice where there are fewest people.
