How to travel within Miyazaki Prefecture
When traveling to a new city, one of the most important things to consider is how to get around. Renting a car isn’t always an option due to license restrictions and let’s face it, it means you can’t enjoy a mid-afternoon beer. When visiting Miyazaki, there are a few ways to easily get around for an affordable price, so let’s take a look at what is available.
If you want to visit multiple tourist attractions in a day, purchasing a VISIT BUS PASS( Website) gives you a 1-day pass for most fixed route busses within Miyazaki Prefecture. This bus pass costs 1500yen and you will need to present both your passport and return flight ticket (or equivalent travel document) when purchasing. There are some bus routes which are not included in the bus pass, so we recommend that you read through the website to check if the route you want to take is available first. The website is available in English, Chinese, Simplified Chinese and Korean.
