A residence built by Shimazu Hisahiro in 1879. It was renovated in 1972 before the royal visit of Emperor Showa and used as his lodging. The residence was donated to Miyakonojo City, and in 2010 it was reopened to the public as a sightseeing and historical facility. The vast ocean and green fields stretching out in front of your eyes, with Misaki Horses slowly chewing on grass. For 300 years, up until the opening of the ranch in 1967, Misaki Horses bred completely naturally without any interference. They are registered as Natural Monuments by the Japanese government as a pure Japanese breed of horse. The white lighthouse at Cape Toi is not only a great place to see Misaki Horses up close, but it is the only light house you can enter in Kyushu. This light house is still operational and continues to be a beacon for passing ships.

An uninhabited island with a circumference of around 3.5 km, which is home to around 100 Nihonzaru (Japanese monkeys). These monkeys are designated as a natural monument by the Japanese government and are known as "Bunka-zaru (cultured monkeys)" for their unique behaviour of washing potatoes in sea water and swimming in the ocean for pleasure. Enjoy a relaxing time with these moneys living a carefree life while enjoying a comfortable sea breeze.

A theme park in Nichinan City where you can see the coastline.
Sun Mese Nichinan has a large moai statue of 7 bodies with a height of 5.5 m and a weight of 18 tons. This was made with special permission from the Easter Island Elders' Association.
There is also a restaurant so you can eat. It is a sightseeing spot that you can spend watching the beautiful scenery of the coastline from sun rising to sinking.
